10/11/22 WKOK Sunrise: Nick Ide, American Heart Association, and Stephanie Derk, active AHA volunteer and mom, on the upcoming Heart Walk at the Miller Center/GSVYMCA/Geisinger/Evangelical in Lewisbur

Nick Ide, American Heart Association, Community Impact Director, Sunbury, and Stephanie Derk, Selinsgrove, one of the organizers of the upcoming Heart Walk 10/22, she is the mother of an adult daughter with a congenital heart defect, and she is helping organize the walk. She talked about the services, research and help from the AHA, and the impact of heart services and the American Heart Association.  We talked about the overall mission and work of the AHA, the Sunbury work Nick is doing, and what happens to the funds raised at events. They’ll talk about awareness, education, research, screening, diagnosis, and treatment of heart ailments.
