Christa Martin, PhD, Chief Scientific Officer with Geisinger’s Autism and Developmental Medicine Institute, and a researcher at Geisinger, on the new study she is overseeing into a genetic variant which increases our risk of schizophrenia and autism.  We talk about the science of the correlation, how that correlation was detected and their study using the MyCode information from participants at Geisinger. We talk about routine screening for this variant and how this information may inform treatments of various mental health diseases or behavioral variations. We talk about the many lab-to-bedside possibilities.
