Alexander Riley, Bucknell University sociology professor, on the series of talks at Bucknell entitled ‘The ’60s at 50s,’ bringing several noted academic figures in to talk about legacies and consequences of the 1960s. Next up: The '60s at 50: Reflections on America a Half-Century Later"Reconsidering the Great Society and the LBJ Presidency with Charles Kesler"January 31 at 7 pm, Bucknell Hall Charles Kesler is the Dengler-Dykema Distinguished Professor of Government at Claremont McKenna College and Editor of the Claremont Review of Books. He received his B.A. in Social Studies and his M.A. and Ph.D. in Government from Harvard University. He is the recipient of the prestigious 2018 Bradley Prize. Dr. Kesler is the author of _I Am the Change: Barack Obama and the Crisis of Liberalism_; the editor of _Saving the Revolution: The Federalist Papers and the American Founding_; and co-editor, with William F. Buckley, Jr., of _Keeping the Tablets: Modern American Conservative Thought. He has written extensively on American constitutionalism and political thought, and his edition of The Federalist Papers is the best-selling edition in the country.Dr. Kesler will join Bucknell faculty members for a critical reconsideration of the Lyndon B.
