Financial Friday: Robert Garrett, President, and CEO Greater Susquehanna Valley Chamber of Commerce, and Art Thomas, Chairman GSVCC, President Meck-Tech and Diversified Construction Inc., with their reaction to the latest US and PA jobless numbers. We discussed inflation, supply chain, worker shortage, and recession. John A. Kerschner,  AICP, Vice President, Fine Line Homes, on the ‘state of homebuilding/development today in PA, the opportunities, and impediments you face, and the current trends involving building, land, and homebuying.  Regulations were a substantial part of this discussion. During open phones, we talked about the state of the home building/development environment in Pennsylvania right now. We talked about the opportunities, a few large developments, as well as impediments to development, regulations, zoning, wetlands, storm water, utilities, screening, social media and other impacts affecting development. Also, abortion, gun laws, and over medicating children was discussed.
