Melanie Simms, noted Valley poet laureate, author and scholar, on her latest work, publications, appearances, and accolades. She talked about a recent award (Luzerne County Transportation Authority) poetry in motion, and composer Leo Schwartz setting one of her poems about the Susquehanna River being set to music. We’ll look at ‘Life Signs and Fortune Cookies’ and talk about her TV appearances.
