8/8/22 WKOK Sunrise: Anthony Morgan and Nader Oweis on modern campus policing, sound community/campus relations other initiatives

Anthony Morgan, Chief of Public Safety, Bucknell University Department of Public Safety, on his new role as campus police chief, the changes made in public safety, and how campus policing is changing. We talk about the work he’s doing to make policing an integral part of, an help for, and aid to students and the Bucknell community. We discuss the communication, cooperation, body cameras, transparency and policies, along with the services for everyone, and how he is working to gain the trust of students. He's joined by Nader Oweis, Chief of Police, Sonoma State University, on modern campus policing, what are the threats and opportunities, and he’ll explain how a cooperative/ally/service-providing approach puts the students and the university community in a much better environment (they even do vehicle jump starts where needed!). He talked about their speakers bureau, internships, scholarships, and other programs.
