Show Notes

Samantha Pearson, Executive Director Lewisburg Neighborhoods, Elm Street Manager, and Walk it! Bike it! (WIBI) Coordinator, on COVID-19 testing and timing (what getting tested tells you and what it doesn't) and what the shifting CDC language really says. We’ll talk about contact tracing and quarantine/isolation, timing and implications for families, schools, workplaces, and local services, and the recurrent chimera of "herd immunity" and "just protecting those most vulnerable."  We’ll do the math and come up with the actual share of the population that would wind up being most protected and realize that it's around 50% or more, once you add in all the people who live in households with the people who are in vulnerable categories.
