John Moore, Northumberland, author, freelance writer, storyteller, newspaperman, history buff, on the history of The Valley, particularly Northumberland, Packer Island and Sunbury. We focus on the dates 250 years ago in Shamokeen' and surrounding areas.  We talked about the native Americans who were here first, the first settlers who settled here, and the evolution of the subsequent centuries. We chatted about life in colonial times, new forts, why have forts at all and the lead up to modernity; the 1900s.
